Summer Break

14th July 2019 By Paul Lynch

Dear Players, Parents and friends of Forres Area Soccer 7s

Already, we have reached the halfway mark of the 2019 season and parents and coaches are getting a well-deserved break.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all (and in particular our coaches) for coming along week in and week out to ensure boys and girls from Forres and the surrounding area get the opportunity to play football.

We have already had a busy season so far with over 170 players signing up and more still arriving which is great. Remember late arrivals will now benefit from half price membership so if you know anyone who wants to get involved, get them signed up before the end of the holidays to maximise their playing time.

Don’t forget football returns on Sunday 18th August, so please make sure you all rested before then!!

***Newsflash***

The club is also hoping to hold a 7miles for Soccer 7s sponsored walk in the near future, more details to follow ASAP.

Enjoy the holidays

Paul Lynch

Fair Play Award – Casey Thompson & George

Really competitive game with end to end stuff with only George knicking the winner.

One way traffic from Credit Union, some sloppy defending and a tidy finish was the difference.

Round 3

Cluny Estate Agents 1 – 1 Lossiemouth Garage

Selection Day Postponed

1st February 2019 By Paul Lynch

Unfortunately due to the weather the club has made the decision to postpone the Selection Day, which was suppose to happen this Sunday 3rd Feb.

Looking at the forecast and what we think is best for everyone involved is that we move the Selection Day and start of the season by two weeks. Therefore the new dates are as follows;

Selection Day on the 17th Feb 10:00-11:30. Remember this is only for the Super 5’s (7-9 year olds) and the Junior 7’s (10-12 year olds).

Start of the season will be on the 3rd March. Developmental 4’s 10:00-11:10, Super 5’s and Junior 7’s to be at Grant Park for 11:00 to kickoff at 11:30.

The reason for the two week break in between the Selection Day and the start of the season is to allow the club time to arrange players in teams. We then give the coaches their teams and they will be in contact with you to pass on more information regarding training etc.

In the mean time please get in touch with the club if you have any questions, through our Facebook page or at office@forres-soccer7s.co.uk

Kind regards

Paul Lynch, Chairman
